SRX10698150: DNA of outbred D.melanogaster from Princeton,NJ,USA
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 12.1M spots, 3.6G bases, 1.2Gb downloads

Design: Individual flies were placed in 96-well plates. DNA was extracted using 96-well DNA binding plates from Pall Life Sciences. DNA was tagmented and barcoded using Tn5 transposase. Individual libraries were pooled within each 96-well plate and QCed, and plate libraries were pooled and QCed before sequencing.

Study: Genetic basis of longevity in fruit flies
show Abstracthide Abstract
This study explores the genetic basis of variation in lifespan in outbred D. melanogaster in two different dietary conditions (control and high sugar diet). The main goal is to determine if and how diet modulates the genetic effects regulating lifespan in this population, i.e. genotype-by-environment interactions for lifespan.
